Love love love this place, the new owner is also amazing! The previous help wasn't as good! I always get the Italian beef, train wreck or burger. The kettle chips are also great! A must try

I have been eating the Italian Beef and hamburgers since they opened (5years or so) never disappointed. For the record I have scored 4 stars in the past, however..considering the owner is from Chicago he should have an idea of what a roast beef should taste like. Anyway, after careful deliberation and request by staff to try the fish I indulged. It was disgusting!! First wheres the salt? Second, the fish was not seasoned and terribly thin and dry. Third, It was buried inside a Hoagie roll that was four times too wide and too thick and not toasted. Ughh..then there was the raw 1/2 cut onion and 1/2 cut tomato with slaps of lettuce. I should mention here that it was served with the "Special Mayo spicy sauce," Disgusting!! Go here for the beef! and for the owners.. stick with the beef.

SOO good! I had a burger and fried and my husband had the Italian sandwich. Both were very happy. I don't think I've had a burger that good in a long time. We will definitely be back!

We went to Da Back Yard as a group with 7 adults and 2 kids. We ordered our food inside and told the staff we were sitting outside. Once outside, the patio staff told us we could not sit on the patio since they would have live music in 30 minutes AFTER they watched us gather up 9 chairs around one table. Since I was still wearing a wet swimsuit from boating, I wasn't too thrilled at sitting indoors in freezing air conditioning. Luckily, the A/C wasn't working too well and it was quite warm. The gyro sauce needed more flavor or something. The burger was decent. Poor rating based on staff.

Want a gourmet burger made of fresh beef, ground on site? Head on over to Da Back Yard! The best burger ever, served on a high quality bun with toppings to order. Hot French fries were just fine, but the burger alone was worth the trip. We were traveling through Arkansas after a long trip to Key West. We wanted a GOOD burger, not fast food, so I checked Yelp and this place came up. When we arrived, it looked like maybe it wasn't in business, but we parked, went in and were instantly greeted by friendly people who wanted to make us happy. After we had nearly finished our burgers, the owner (who happens to look like a young Billy Joel!) showed us the Chicago Sausages they serve and said they have several other specialties, which I'm sure are outstanding. Da Back Yard is in a former filling station, plain Jane on the outside and plain Jane on the inside, but the food made us happy without fancy atmosphere!

This is a new joint in town nestled next to Town and Country Grocery Store. Tried this place twice to see the first time was a fluke. It's very good. The owner is a North Side Chicago Guy who moved his family here and loves Mountain Home. He imports products from Chicago as needed. I bet he'd do a good BBQ if he tried. Most of the customers that walked in were repeats who ordered the usual. I look forward to the summer; he's hoping to have music in his garden area.
